Dear Owner and Agent Colleagues,
HUD recently unveiled a new short-term program to assist owners of Project Based Section 8 projects with expenses related to the COVID-19 pandemic. This program, COVID-19 Supplemental Payments (CSP) will allow owners to submit a one-time claim to HUD, as explained in Housing Notice H-2020-8. . We urge that all owners and agents that are interested in submitting claims fully review the notice before attempting to submit a claim.
All claims must be submitted using form HUD-52671-E. The HUD-52671-E can be found here.
When submitting a claim, please submit your claim to the following address:
CSPClaims@cgifederal.com When addressing your claim, please ensure the subject line reads as follows: “CSP Claim: Property Name; HUD Contract Number”. Example – “Subject: CSP Claim: ABC Apartments, FL360000001” For owners/agents with multiple properties, please do NOT combine multiple claims into one submission. All claims must be sent individually to ensure efficient processing and transmission to HUD for payment. Please do NOT submit your claim to the normal Florida PBCA main document mailbox or directly to your Central Contract Specialist. Failure to send claims to the dedicated mailbox noted above may lead to processing delays. All claims MUST be received before 11.59 P.M. local time on August 5, 2020 to receive full consideration for payment. As this is a new process, we envision there will be many questions. At this time we ask that you direct your questions on the preparation and submission of CSP Claims to HUD.
